Your ex-partner is not giving you enough contact with your children
You are in a vulnerable financial position compared with your ex-partner
You are unsure what a fair settlement between you would look like
You have a lot of assets
You got married abroad, or you, your ex-partner or your children have non-UK nationality
No fault Divorce
No two divorces are the same. That’s why we offer a selection of divorce packages to suit your particular circumstances and budget. Whether the break is amicable or contentious, new rulings from the 6 April 2022, have allowed a significant change in divorce law for England and Wales. It's the first change for 50 years. The changes mean that instead of needing to prove the other party is at fault, there is now no requirement to assign fault when filing for divorce. Therefore No fault divorce allows couples to end their marriage or civil partnership without having to blame each other for the breakdown of their relationship.
Children
The welfare of any children involved in a divorce is placed before anything else by the law.
Our priority, if possible, will be to help you reach an agreement with your ex-partner for your children's sake. This might be about where the children live, how much contact they have with you both, how they will be provided for, and how decisions will be taken in future about things such as holidays and schools.
Whatever your circumstances, we have the knowledge and experience to make sure that the decisions you make are in the best interests of your children now and in the future.
Mediation
Although you need a court order to get a divorce, you do not need to go to court to reach a divorce settlement with your ex-partner.
Mediation helps separating couples reach agreement even on the most difficult issues. Trained mediators do not take sides and will listen to you both.
Our team can help you to arrange a meeting with a mediator.
