Making your Will, Power of Attorney or Considering a Trust
If you live in England or Wales and die without a legally valid Will the government will decide who gets what. If you have no living family members, all your property and possessions will go to the Crown.
Your Will
If you live in England or Wales and die without a legally valid Will the government will decide who gets what. If you have no living family members, all your property and possessions will go to the Crown.
If you have children under 18 years old, other people can make decisions about who will take care of the children and manage their finances and education.
Your Will is a legal document that allows you to state what should happen to your assets (your money, property, investments, and possessions) as well as your young children after you have passed away.
Our expert team provides specialist services in the following areas:
Preparation of Wills
Preparation of Wills containing trusts (for estate or tax planning purposes)
Preparation of Bloodline Planning Wills correctly ensuring no loss of the Residence Nil Rate Band, without adding a burden to beneficiaries
Preparation of Lasting Powers of Attorney
We all love of our families, so why would you take chances with their financial future? Making a Will with Bellavia & Associates costs from just £250 plus VAT.*
In your Will, you can:
Appoint legal Guardians to care for your children.
Appoint Executor(s) to handle the terms of your Will.
Name your "Beneficiaries"; or the people, organisations or charities you would like to benefit from your Will.
Leave your Beneficiaries gifts of specified items or fixed amounts of money.
Create a Trust to help preserve your wealth for specific purposes: for future generations, to protect against residential home care costs or to help vulnerable or disabled beneficiaries.
Make your funeral plans.
A Will is undoubtedly one of the most important documents you will ever sign, and to die without a valid Will in place has serious ramifications. The law can decide who has responsibility for children under 18 and who receives your money, property and all other belongings.
Your Will clearly states your wishes and preferences. It gives your loved ones financial protection after you die. A couple with similar intentions and preferences can create Mirror Wills. These are nearly identical wills in which assets are left to the same beneficiaries in both Wills.
Every Will is different
Your circumstances, wishes, and assets are unique to you. Your Will should reflect this. You need to consider questions such as:
Who will care for your children?
What will happen to your home?
Who will care for your pets?
Will Inheritance Tax (IHT) be payable on your estate?
Lasting Powers of Attorney
There are two types of Lasting Powers of Attorneys:
Health and Welfare; and
Property and Financial Affairs
Our fees are £500 plus VAT for one Lasting Powers of Attorney and £750 plus VAT for the two together with the registration fee of £82 per Lasting Powers of Attorney.
If a couple are looking at having both Lasting Powers of Attorney’s each, we can do this for £1,000 plus VAT and of course the registration fee of £82 per Lasting Powers of Attorney.
